Marcus grew up on Kangaroo Island (SA) and graduated in 1998 from the University of South Australia. His career spans a range of industries and organisations, including mining; oil and gas; construction; the Australian Defence Force; professional sport; public health and private practice. Marcus' keen interest in sports injuries led him to attain his Masters in Sports & Exercise Physiotherapy from La Trobe University in 2007. While he has worked with some high-profile performers (including AFL, NBL, Gymnastics), Marcus still enjoys helping aspiring athletes as well as the everyday amateur to perform the best they can. Marcus is affiliated with several sporting organisations in Darwin including the Tiwi Bombers and Banks Bulldogs Football Clubs and has a proven record in successfully managing on and off-field injuries.
Marcus is also renowned for his expertise in the assessment and management of work-related Injuries. Having consulted externally as an Injury Management Advisor for Allianz Insurance Australia and TIO's Motor Accident Compensation Commission (MAC), Marcus is sought-after for his professional opinion in assessment and optimising recovery for timely return-to-work. His 20+ years of experience, knack for developing rapport and exceptional communication skills keep him busy as an independent clinician and educator in work injury management.
Since graduating from Charles Sturt University in 2011, Kylie has gained a wealth of experience working in private practice with a focus on Clinical Pilates, orthopaedics and sports injuries. Kylie has also worked for the Australian Defence Force and on the Ichthys LNG project (Inpex), further developing her skills in occupational health physiotherapy.
Kylie has qualifications in Women's Health and Clinical Pilates and has a keen interest in lower limb injuries. Her other professional interests are lumbar spine injuries and pre & post natal physiotherapy.
She has a passion for assisting her patients achieve their goals - whether it's improving performance, returning to sport or work post-injury or simply returning to the full daily function pain-free.
Jess graduated with a Bachelor of Exercise and Sport Science at Charles Darwin University before going on to complete her Masters in Physiotherapy Studies at The University of Queensland in 2017. At the beginning of 2018 she returned to her hometown Darwin after missing the warmer weather and relaxed lifestyle.
Jess has rapidly developed her skills in the past 4 years by completing courses in dry needling and APA Level 1 in Spine, Sports and Occupational Health. She is passionate about helping her patients return to work and sport, and believes that a combination of hands-on therapy combined with carefully selected exercise help her patients achieve their goals. Jess loves working with a range of musculoskeletal conditions and also has an interest in occupational physiotherapy, where she enjoys helping people understand how their work environment and practices can positively impact their health.
Originally from Perth WA, Jason has been a physiotherapist in the NT since 2012. Graduating from Curtin University with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy in 2010, he went on to complete a Masters in Musculoskeletal and Sports & Exercise Physiotherapy from Griffith University in 2018.
Jason has worked at Tangibilis since 2020 and has a special interesting in treating complex musculoskeletal disorders and sporting injuries. As a member of the Australia Physiotherapy Association (APA), he holds APA endorsed titles in both Musculoskeletal and Sports & Exercise Physiotherapy.
Jason’s passion revolves around helping people overcome injury, but also in looking at ways to grow from adversity by developing lifelong strategies for better health. He has a special interest in working with Police, Fire and Emergency workers, and members of the Australian Defence Force (aka tactical athletes); strength and conditioning (qualified ASCA level 1 power coach); and power-based sports (qualified AWF level 1 coach) – though, he is ready and willing to tackle any physical goals that any person may wish to achieve (big or small).
Luke was born and bred in Darwin so it’s fitting that he is back living in the Top End!
Luke graduated from University of South Australia with a Masters of Physiotherapy in 2007. Luke’s professional experience covers both public and private sectors, with roles at the Royal Darwin Hospital, Australian Defence Force and East Timor with Australian Volunteers International.
Luke is an experienced clinician with a passion for movement and an exercise-based approach to rehabilitation and injury management. This, combined with his empathy and heart for people with disabilities go a long way toward enhancing our Mobile Exercise Rehabilitation services, particularly for NDIS.
Luke’s personal interests include competitive swimming, kayaking, triathlons. These multisport races have taken him as far afield as Hawaii!
Luke understands the physical demands and requirements to stay healthy, motivated and strong. He is a great choice if you’re looking for a physio to keep training and functioning well with tailored, supervised strength and conditioning programs.
Madeline Khu
Madeline originally hails from Katherine NT and chose to pursue a career in physiotherapy after receiving treatment for her own back injury by a physiotherapist. She graduated from the University of South Australia in 2012 and returned to Darwin to commence working. Since then she has worked predominantly in private practice performing a diverse range of roles including managing musculoskeletal injuries (sports, occupational, motor vehicle accidents), pre-natal care, hydrotherapy and inpatient care.
Madeline loves developing her skills in physiotherapy and has completed further education in Pilates, dry needling, sports physiotherapy, women's health and hydrotherapy. Madeline believes recovery requires a collaborative effort and enjoys helping people get back to what the love to do, whatever that may be!
Alex graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from the University of South Australia in 2019 and made his way to the Top End soon after.
Alex joined Tangibilis after working with the Community Allied Health Team at RDH, where he developed a diverse skillset in remote health and enjoyed helping his patients work towards meaningful goals. He has a keen interest in musculoskeletal physiotherapy, in particular with sports performance.
When not in the clinic, Alex enjoys combat sports and has been competing and training in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for the last 4 years. If you’re a combat sport enthusiast who wants to manage an injury while staying on the mat or hitting the bags, Alex is your go-to!
Jesse is a local Darwinite through and through. Jesse gained his Bachelor of Physiotherapy from James Cook University in Townsville. While in QLD he gained valuable experience across a variety of hospital, rehabilitation and private practice settings which he is excited to bring back to Darwin.
Jesse is passionate about helping people achieve meaningful change in pain and performance to help them get back to what they love whether that be kicking goals or picking up the grandkids. He believes in taking a person-centred approach to care as no two people experience pain and injury the same way.
Outside of physiotherapy, Jesse is a keen basketballer. After a largely mediocre career was interrupted by knee injuries, Jesse can empathise with the injured athletes and now enjoys the privilege of helping them achieve their goals on the sports field.

As the Practice Manager since its clinic opening in 2017, Jasmin has been a key player in creating a positive workplace culture at Tangibilis. Jasmin comes from a background in hospitality and education, but her personal values of family and growth align closely with her desire to be effective in cultivating an atmosphere where the team feels safe to thrive personally and professionally. When she isn’t working, she enjoys live music, slow-starts, being with family and friends, off-grid camping, cooking and journal-writing.
Darwin born and bred, Kirsten has worked in reception/administration roles within the health industry for over 20 years. During this time she has developed an impressive range of skills and knowledge in health systems and processes to ensure positive patient interactions. Kirsten is most fulfilled being an integral part of the patient experience, from greetings and assisting with inquiries to full recoveries and farewells.
